Rowena's Produce

With an abundance of amazing fruit available on the island, it might seem trite to give Rowena's Produce five stars, but this place is truly a treasure worth sharing. This is always my first stop after landing to pick up papayas and limes. When you visit this produce warehouse, you'll appreciate that the only thing they care about is the quality of their product. They offer four tiers of papayas, as any self-respecting fruit hunter would expect. I've sampled them all, and they're all delicious, but as a tourist, I splurge on the top tier. Enjoy this secret spot ;)

Visited this local grocery and produce store per recommendation on the net. During winter time, they also sell tropical fruits but the taste and quality is not as flavorful as in summer time.

Off the beaten track and tucked inside a mixed retail plaza a mile from the Kahului airport, Rowena’s is the best place for local produce every day.
Like an indoor farmers market, Rowena’s has a wide range of local produce including things that you can only get a farm stands - and it’s open every day. The best selections are before noon, but it’s our go to place for papayas as well as fresh fruits.
They also have an assortment of Asian groceries. The lighting inside is dim, but for sure the best selection and best prices for fruits and veggies if you want less than a Costco sized package.

In complete honesty, the best thing I tasted my whole trip to Maui was the papaya from this stand!! I dream about it everyday and can't wait to come get another one! This was also the only stand that had soursop in May.

Daily supply of local grown produce. Mostly Asian food products. I purchase here weekly rather than the grocery stores. Inexpensive and FRESH. Mahalo

Prices at Rowena’s Produce are a fraction of the road side fruit stands, just as fresh, just as local and just as delicious!

The best roadside produce we found in our short time on Maui! Typical pineapples, guava and mangoes. What’s neat is the dried fruit, syrups and Hawaiian coffees. Lots of Macadamia nut candies. Bought various hot sauces and meat rubs, they ship to mainland for you!!!

Great prices for local pineapple, papaya, and avocado. The avocados are huge. Locals r shopping here. Amazing dragon fruit. Happy found it. 😀

I love these small locally owned produce stores. This one had a very nice selection of Papayas and Dragon fruit at very fair prices. It is very near to My Thai Maui. Lots of parking and easy access.

So friendly here, lots of tropical fruits and vegetables. My favorite is their cherimoya.

Love how friendly the ohana is over here. They ran out of an herb, but then called other stores for me to see if they have the herb. They are very loyal to their customers!!!!! They treat their customers with respect and care!!!

This is the most complete Thai produce store that we found in Maui. We have been there 3x during our 4 week stay. They don't have everything, but close. Fresh Thai chili 🌶.

The vegetables are always fresh. I've found the fruits and vegetables last longer than those sold in grocery stores. The prices can not be beat anywhere. Most every fruit and vegs are available. Plus she does have eggs, an assortment of can and pkg items ie noodles. Best place best prices.

Best price, good product and nice people

Owner is very honest and helpful. Told us the Cherimoya fruit needs a few days to ripe and can't be ready before we leave... They are very candid and honest person.

Best produce selection of local items we have seen thus far! Rare fruit, variety of local snacks, and spices. Worth the stop if you are cooking at home.
