Hawaii Family Dental - Queen Kaahumanu Center

My past experiences kept me away from the dentist for many years, however I had a really bad toothache and needed to see the dentist. The day of my initial check up had me in a panic attack to the point that my blood pressure was higher than normal, but the assistant that helped me was clam and friendly. She made me feel at peace. The doctor came in right after asked some questions and asked what I wanted. I told her to feel better and to get my teeth all fixed so I can enjoy food. She was really nice. I than saw the hygienist who was also nice. My first experience was good and I would recommend Hawaii dental family services for anyone that needs help.

Honestly, this was the best dentist appointment I have had in awhile. My hygienist, Edwin, has been absolutely tireless in helping me to improve my dental health and it is paying off. I definitely feel I am in good hands under his care.

Fantastic !!! I have had 2 filling treatments and a cleaning with Hawaii Family Dental and I could not be happier with a dental office. Everyone is friendly, helpful and professional.

Undoubtedly the best dental related experience I’ve had in a long time. All specialties under one roof ! Your search is over. I love this place. Amazing staff from Jasmine in the front office, to their hygienists, Halia the Dental Assistant, and Doctor Brian Matsumoto. They’re fast, gentle, respectful, personable and very professional. I’m posting for Florencia. It was a relief that she have to go through a root canal procedure. Another assessment by Doctor Johnson all was needed to fillings done. She said she feels great and no pain at all. Thanks Doctor Johnson and staff for having healthier teeth!

This is the best dentist/orthodontist for children. The staff makes the kids feel so comfortable and take such care when performing cleanings and fillings. I’m impressed! I trust them, true professionals!

The support I receive there is commendable, as all of my doctors have been attentive and supportive. My recent doctor, Dr. Stone, stands out as exceptional. He is always gentle, performs his job efficiently and painlessly, and demonstrates a high level of professionalism.

Dr. K and my hygienist were amazing. My procedure was less than fun but they both made it somewhat fun. Believe it or not. Lol. I trust them.

I have been visiting with Hawaii Dental for the last five years and have nothing but great things to say. I was helped by a young lady who cleans, and her name is Aloha and she was very professional and helpful in helping me manage my situation and to accomplish certain things at a minimal cost, whether it be through a program offered here or through my insurance, she was looking after the best of my interest. As I completed my visit I was helped by a young lady name Brenda, who was extensive in her effort to be sure that I get all of the dental care properly and his expeditiously as possible. Great job Hawaii Dental thank you so much. So.

Brian Matsumuto is an amazing dentist. He is so friendly and yet very professional. My husband was seeing another dentist but because he was informed that his dentist was leaving, We chose to go with Brian and Im sure my husband will love him too.

I am delighted with the atmosphere and treatment at this dental center. Everyone I have interacted with has been kind, friendly, respectful, cheerful, and professional. Edwin is one wonderful hygienist, who is gentle, careful, and thorough, along with all of the above... he practically sings when he is saying "open" and "close."

Compared to my childhood and even young adult dental experiences, both the equipment (tinier needles, quieter and smaller drills, water-cooled cleaning tool, etc.) and the practitioners (more skilled, kinder, gentler, more understanding, willing to answer all questions and explain what is going on at each step of treatments, etc.) are far superior.

I actually feel joy at this dental center, and am very pleased with the results of my treatments. When they answer the phone with "Its a great day at Hawaii Dental Center," they mean it, and it is true.

My experience here is almost painless, and sometimes actually pain-free. Dr. Matsumoto is gentle and skilled, patient and kind.
