Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

We had a blast for our lunch together today. There were about 25 of us and the food and service were great! 👍🏾 I got the special shrimp tacos and they were very good. I also got a burrito with the sweet pork! OMG 😁

Solid, “fast” Mexican food that is fresh. A bit different than chipotle and a nice twist on the burrito “enchilada style”

I love Cafe Rio, good food for affordable prices. I love going on Taco Tuesday, can't beat getting a delicious taco for less than $3 each! I love the Sweet Barbacoa Pork with cilantro on it, or the carne asada, yum! They make the totillas on prem, and also special drinks like mint limeade or horchata, everything is very fresh.

They have a really great rewards program if you download the app (but the app is a little slow at times.) They offer special deals all the time that add up to FREE FOOD pretty quickly.

I have always gotten good service and the people are helpful and friendly. Before covid it was much more attactive looking, because they kept limes, lemons and tomatos displayed above the kitchen. It looked so pretty, I wish they would do that again.

Cafe Rio is the best! I love the employees expcially here at the Germantown location! The food is fresh, warm, and very flavorful! I get a lot of food for what I pay for and I always leave stuffed!

This is the first place we went to for my first meal here in the US. The serving is huge than where I came from and the people are also very welcoming. Good place, good Mexican food!

Over the past few years, I order here around once a month. I usually order through the App, sometimes in person.

The location is well maintained. The kitchen and dining areas are kept clean. Occasionally, the associates are so busy keeping up with orders that they forget to restock the self serve area, especially allowing napkins to run out.

I am glad to see hot sauce bottles are available again, would just like to see the variety return. I definitely miss the free cinnamon mints.

To the food. Overall, everything is fresh looking and tasting. I always enjoy my entrees here. I have pretty much ordered everything they offer over the years, from this location.

Occasionally my online order is slightly off. Sometimes an extra free ingredient is missing.

Recently, my online order was not processed. After waiting 15 minutes, and being offered two different peoples online orders, the cashier looked my order up. She then personally made sure my order was made.

I love their loyalty program.

Amazing food every time we come. It's my family's favorite place to eat. Everytime we find ourselves in MD this is a must go to spot for lunch.

This is Mexican fast food at its finest! It didn't taste like fast food. We all got the salads. All were made with handmade and warmed tortillas in the base. Mine was the vegetarian with bean. The others got the shredded beef. I ordered both Pinto and black beans. The lettuce was excellent, fresh, crispy, perfectly chopped romaine. We all had the works, including rice, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, Pico de Gallo, more, etc. The dressings were a creamy tomato or creamy Verde. They let us order both. Both were SO GOOD. we had to ask for salsa. None if it was extra. The shredded beef eaters said theirs was slightly too salty, but both were impressed with the quality of the beef. It was lean and tasty, not fatty or greasy.

We will definitely Italy go here on our next trip to DC. It's so convenient. Less than 5 minutes from the highway!

Love this place, great discount for military on Mondays.

My only complaint was I saw people on break but tables out front weren't wiped down. But the food was amazing! And the ladies working for very nice! (Even when dealing with other rude customers..😂😒)

We went and I ordered a sweet pork burrito. The taste was fantastic and the portions were generous! We went at noon on a Thursday and we had all our food within five minutes of arriving. All the tables were cleared and the garbage cans weren't overfilling. The employees were courteous. The only complaint was when they did not explain that the extra salad sauce cost a dollar extra (which was well worth it). I will definitely be coming here again.

The tortillas are just something else here. They make everything so much tastier! I love that they're always fresh and delicious. It's definitely not your regular old Chipotle or anything like that.

This place is great. Love the red sauce. It’s as close as you can get to “New Mexico Red” as any place I have found in MD.

I love this place. Over the years I have gotten familiar with the staff and they always smile when I come in making me feel extra welcome. The food is always excellent and the Dr. Pepper seems better than at other places. Looking forward to the renovation of the dining area and new tables!

Food is super good. Drinks are amazing! Its a long wait most of the time but if you think about it,... what must that mean?? The food must be that good if everyone is waiting for it. Its freshly put together in front of you. The fact that there are specials each day really helps.
