Bistro Varenna

The pistachio croissants were one of the BEST things we ate in Italy. I believe they are made elsewhere, but the bistro sells them, and they are incredible!! The filling was beautiful and creamy.

We were treated with such kindness and came all three mornings during our stay in Varenna. Authentic feel, wonderful coffee and incredible croissants!! The blueberry and pistachio were some of the best we had in Italy. Highly recommend!

Very authentic cozy spot for cappuccino in the square. We loved the pistachio croissants as well. Love the atmosphere.

I can only share my experience here. Which was very pleasent. Very nice staff (they seem understaffed), and everything else is good. Good coffee and sandwhich.

We had a breakfast and it's a really nice and familiar. All food is handmade by themselves.

While in Varenna, someone referred us to this little outdoor Bistro. We had the lasagna, and it was fantastic! I've never had lasagna that tasted this good. It's different than any I've ever had. I've been told that dishes are all different in various regions of Italy. The service was good. We should have learned more Italian before going. Any time we had questionable service, it was mostly the language barrier. I think the bad comments on here about service are due to that. LEARN A LITTLE LOCAL LANGUAGE BEFORE VISITING ANOTHER COUNTRY. Every country does not speak fluent American English. Thank you, Bistro Varenna, for a fantastic breakfast lasagna! Me and my wife loved it!

A beautiful, cute Bistro with amazing chocolate croissants and coffee! The owner is really lovely and always made us feel welcome. We wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely Bistro.
