Amazing food with wonderful service!

Coffee was fresh and yummy. We ordered cinnamon roll french toast and a plate of sides which included light toast (homemade in their bakery on site!) crispy bacon and wonderfully crunchy but soft in the center house potatoes.

If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping in for breakfast!

What a nice breakfast place! Used to be mom’s favorite so we tried it while in town. Everything was great (well, the coffee was terribly weak, we figured out later they brewed our coffee over used grounds, that’ll do it!). We particularly liked our server (Monty? Manny? sorry), he was very nice and took the experience over the top). No wonder mom loved this place!

We had a wait time that was quoted at 15 minutes, but the front room was very welcoming of waiting, so I didn't even notice the 15 minutes me and my friend and I were super comfortable chatting up front! The menu had so many different options, but I settled on the Benedict qith queso and jalopeno bacon on waffles! It was absolutely phenomenal ! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and their food was phenomenal!

We had:
Chicken and Waffles with Grits and Broccoli.

Chicken and Waffles with House Fries.

PENNE BOLOGNESE, penne pasta, shaved parmesan, baguette.

CLASSIC DOUBLE Burger, lettuce, tomato, melted onion, aged cheddar.

SMOTHERED Omelette, potato, onions, bell peppers, cheddar, green's sausage gravy.

The wait staff was attentive and kept our drink filled. (Coffee & Tea).

We had a 20 minute wait before seating.
Everyone was friendly and helpful.

We will be going back again.

Amazing busy cafe with excellent service and amazing food! I wholly recommend the pastrami hash and deviled eggs, they are among the top 3 I have ever tasted in my life. The portion size of the pastrami hash can honestly feed 2. The crab cake benedict is incredibly scrumptious with a perfect balance of salt, sweet, and umami. The monte Cristo benedict was too sweet and tasted like pure maple sugar. As a food hack, you must get a side of a biscuit and sausage gravy which is less than the benedict dish. 😉

Me and my fiancé had the day off together so we decided to come have a late lunch here. The food was delicious! Atmosphere was very welcoming and our server Piper was amazing. We didn’t have to ask for anything. She made our experience here a memorable one. We will definitely be back.

A must! We got there before they opened with only two cars in the parking lot so we were a little skeptical….we all got various dishes and everything was amazing! The coffee was great too! Cynthia was super sweet and did a great job. Thanks again for making my trip and birthday amazing.

A breakfast of eggs, toast and sausage is anything but typical restaurant fare at Megg's. The excellent sausage is made at a local meat market, and the eggs are very fresh and cooked in whatever style you please. But what really sets them apart is the selection of homemade breads for the toast. I think there were 9 or 10 options, and it was hard to make a choice. I can definitely recommend the apple cinnamon, but I plan to go back and try the others. I have previously had the eggs Benedict served on a crab cake instead of an English muffin, and it was scrumptious.

We got outstanding service from Courtney. She mixes good service with the sort of friendly warmth you hope for in a cozy cafe. That is not to imply Megg's is some run-of- the-mill country diner. It's not. But it has the feel of a small town place even though it is in city near a major hospital.

If you are in Temple at breakfast or lunchtime, give Megg's a try. And if you don't have time to sit down and eat, grab a muffin, scone or other treat from their bakery.

Delicious brunch. Lots of choices, but be mindful that you should ask about about portion sizes before ordering. The hashes are great for big eaters, and the Benedict's are better for lighter appetites. Good, solid coffee with free refills.

So I don’t generally leave reviews but this one is exceptional. I have been to Megg’s Cafe several times and the food and atmosphere is always good but today was the real deal. Our server, Courtney was everything- pleasant, responsive, timely and full of zest. She understood the assignment- I am very meticulous about my food and service and she was able to communicate to the cook staff my needs. This lady has superb skills in hospitality. If you looking for great local fresh food with a friendly atmosphere and great service- stop by and ask for Courtney 😉.

The vibes here are amazing! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, they have fun good music playing, everyone working here is so kind and attentive. Overall I liked the food, although the potatoes felt a bit bland. The apple cinnamon toast is my favorite thing on my plate. The coffee is also great! Despite it being a busy Saturday morning, my waitress was consistently checking in on me and making friendly conversation. Overall a great experience and pretty good food

Such a nice surprise! Went in for lunch and was seated right away. They have specials and two separate menus for breakfast and lunch. I had the crab cake Benedict - which I highly recommend - it was amazing. The presentation is ok (keep in mind that it is a diner!), but the taste is very very good! They serve all kinds of different coffee drinks too and I had a real cappuccino! Our server was witty, friendly and helpful! I am sold! Recommend for a good lunch - your belly will thank you!

Our server Piper was 10 stars. She was phenomenal !!! Checked on our needs several times and great with kids. I have a very picky eater (my grandson). But he cleaned his plate at Megg's. There was a bit of a wait, but worth every minute. My granddaughter had 3 cups (1-2-3) of their FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice. I loved their pastrami hash. So many flavors. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Crabcake eggs Benedict were delicious!!! Was neat because you can get a combo so you can try 2 different kinds if you like. Perfect all day breakfast spot in Temple 🥰

Our family came here for the first time to eat Brunch. The food and mimosas were fantastic! Our server was friendly and we didn’t wait long for our food. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The wait wasn’t too long. They have a wonderful menu with so many different options to choose from. We will definitely be back!

We've been regulars here for a few years. The food is always very good and priced pretty appropriately for what it is. The majority of our visits have been great. Me and my son had breakfast this afternoon and everything was top notch. I had the veggie omelet and he had steak and eggs. 🤤OUR SERVER Ashley was great as usual. Thanks for a great breakfast and service!

I stop by here every time I am in town. Just bought a holiday basket from the bakery and it was the BEST HOLIDAY GOODS I have had in years!! Finished it in 2 days and worth every penny. I want to get one every year now
